Welcome to Healing Without Wings!

My name is Amanda, and this publication grew out of a long personal journey through healing, questioning, and spiritual exploration. Over the past few years, I’ve had experiences that pushed me to look more deeply at how intuition, symbolism, and spiritual communication actually work in everyday life.

When these experiences first began happening to me, I struggled to understand what I was experiencing and how to interpret it in a grounded way. Healing Without Wings began as my attempt to make sense of what was happening.

But in truth, the journey started much earlier.

The Beginning of My Healing Journey

My journey with healing started when I was a child and has continued into adulthood.

For years, I tried to do the things we’re told will help: counseling, medication, self-help books, and doing all the things society says should make you happy. I went to college, built a career, bought a house, and eventually landed what I thought was my dream job with a great boss and team. From the outside, my life looked like it was going exactly the way it was supposed to. But on the inside, I wasn’t truly happy.

A few years ago, I was laid off for the third time, and that experience pushed me into what I can best describe as an anxious depression. Around that same time, I had begun revisiting spirituality more deeply. I tried something that unexpectedly triggered what’s known as a Kundalini awakening.

When Everything Began Changing

Not long after that experience, psychic abilities began opening up for me. At first, I experienced clairvoyance, the ability to see symbolic imagery associated with spiritual communication. I also began experiencing clairsentience, which is the ability to feel energy. Later, clairaudience, or clear hearing, developed as well.

Learning to navigate and understand these experiences has definitely been a process. In the beginning, it was confusing and sometimes overwhelming. Over time, though, I’ve learned to work with these experiences in a grounded way and to interpret their meaning more clearly.

When these experiences first began happening to me, I spent a lot of time searching for explanations. There is a great deal of thoughtful writing on spirituality and awakening, but much of what I found focused on broader philosophy or higher-level ideas.

What I struggled to find were explanations that helped me understand the day-to-day experiences I was having: the symbols, impressions, and moments that were unfolding in real time.

Many teachers and traditions offer valuable perspectives on spiritual awakening. What I’m exploring here is another piece of that conversation, the practical side of learning how to interpret and live with these experiences as they unfold.

The Book I Wish I Had

That’s part of the reason I started writing the book I wish I had when all this began.

It’s a guide to understanding how Spirit communicates through symbols, impressions, synchronicities, and experiences that can otherwise feel confusing or overwhelming.

This newsletter is where I’ll be sharing reflections from that work, exploring how spiritual experiences unfold, and how we can learn to interpret them with clarity rather than fear or confusion.

Why the Name Healing Without Wings

The name Healing Without Wings was inspired by a line from the Evanescence song The End of the Dream which is about finding a way to fly even without wings. That line always stayed with me because it captures something about the human experience of healing.

Sometimes life knocks us down hard enough that we feel like we’re scraping and clawing our way through the darkness, trying to understand how to move forward. However, somewhere along the way, a quiet determination begins to grow, the realization that you can still find your way, even when you don’t feel like you have the strength or the “wings” you thought you needed.

That spirit of determination and resilience is what Healing Without Wings represents to me.

What You’ll Find Here

My goal here is not to be anyone’s guru, master, or authority. I simply share what I’ve experienced, what I’ve learned along the way, and what has helped me navigate my own healing and spiritual understanding. Some things may resonate with you, and some may not, and that’s completely okay.

The heart of this space is about exploration, reflection, and grounded conversation about spirituality and healing in real life.

I try to approach these topics with honesty, curiosity, and a little humor. It’s important to laugh at all this sometimes, and Spirit is constantly getting on my case about having more fun!

If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to subscribe. I’ll be sharing reflections, experiences, and practical insights about intuition, symbolism, and spiritual communication as this journey continues.

Comments are welcome as long as the conversation remains respectful and thoughtful. This space is intended for reflection and discussion, not debate or preaching.

If the writing here resonates with you, the newsletter is free, but there’s also a support link below for anyone who wishes to help support the work.
